not because I think people shouldn’t show enthusiasm for the things they enjoy or should have cooler interests or whatever but because I find it alienating on many levels

I honestly don’t understand why so many people are falling all over themselves to defend him. IT’S FUCKING BAFFLING, MAN. Like, I’m trying to look for parallel cases in the past, and even back a few years ago when that Kyle Payne asshole’s story came out (rape ~advocate~ and student counselor by day, rapist by night), the internet masses were smart enough to condemn that shit roundly—right? right?
