It’s got to the point where I usually read ‘white-identifying POC’ as ‘I am actually a blithering dolt and I really have nothing of consequence to say so let’s word-vomit!’ Like, unless it’s a Herman Cain situation where they just completely deny racism exists, it’s a good idea not to denigrate other POC just because they don’t agree with you 110% of the time like your mates on Tumblr do.

i am really irked by the wording of white identifying poc because it completely obscures how racism works and is really uncritical

i mean its like that cornel west rant on how obama isnt really black, no one is really allowed to impose those lines on other people

its less ~identity policing~ and more yo stop being a basic bitch who thinks everyone has to agree with every small thing you say

this is not a specific issue that i have any stake in but i agree with both of these posts

unfortunately, it’s an effective way to discredit someone in your identity group to accuse them of being a colluder

a fun variation: “lol you must be white/cis/straight” *target has a reference to not being these things right on their front page”

yet another example of fucked-up double standards and “i’m [x] group therefore i’m untouchable and my word is god, u racist” and bizarre sj unfalsifiability
